"Boy A"

Hellos!

As you might be aware, World Book Day was last Thursday. As part of the celebrations, the reading organisation Spread the Word shortlisted 10 titles considered "publishers’ ‘hidden gems’ that haven’t been bestsellers but that deserve to be talked about – and are good to be talked about".

Boy A was one of the shortlisted books and moreover the winner! You'll find more info on the following links:

Thanks,
Åsa

Yep, I had to traipse around town looking for an independent bookshop that still had a copy last Tuesday. After having got lost somewhere along New Bond Street, I spat on the pavement outside the American Embassy, trodded up to Hatchard's to find that there last copy had gone (before noon), checked in at Waterstone's Picadilly -- the landing outside the men's room between the G and 1st floor smells of piss -- I trod all the way up to Marylebone High Street and got a copy from the good people of Daunt Books. I'm about 50 pgs in...good stuff.
See you all soon,
Bhupash
